Was viele nicht wissen: Hanau war in den 50er und 60er Jahren eine, wenn nicht gar die, Partyhochburg in Deutschland. Das hatte es den 30.000 GIs zu verdanken, die in Hanau stationiert waren (größte amerikanische Kolonnie).
